The Seminary of the Order of Canons Regular of the Holy Cross

The Institutum Sapientiae, directed by the Order of Canons Regular of the Holy Cross, provides formation form nearly one-hundred seminarians aspiring to the priesthood. The seminarians come from dioceses of Brazil and religious communities from all over the world. It is our mission to form priests after the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. God is the absolute center of the education we offer. The spirit of adoration, spiritual formation, the reverent celebration of the Sacred Liturgy and a deep prayer life build the foundation. Scientific studies in philosophy and theology faithful to the Magisterium and to the tradition of Holy Mother Church help in obtaining an education which can serve the Church, whether at home or in the missions. Obedience to the Holy Father and the rightful authority of the Church is essential to our institute.

We are consecrated to Mary under the title of Seat of Wisdom, and we stand in her service. She forms and educates us as a Mother. We reverence the Holy Angels as our brothers, helpers and models in praising God, in proclaiming His work, and in our efforts to save souls for the Kingdom of God. Our special veneration is given to the Holy Cross and the Passion of Christ.

"In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph" is the theme given to our seminary by our Bishop Dom Monoel Pestana Filho, the ordinary for the diocese of Anapolis. It is for this goal that we aspire to give Marian priests to the Church.
